Telehealth disclaimer

What you can and cannot rely on the BridgeWell platform to do for your medical care.

The disclaimer below is being finalized with legal counsel. It is provided here so members can read it before completing the consent step of intake. Questions before the final document is published: legal@bridgewellnow.com.

BridgeWell is a coordination platform, not a medical practice

BridgeWell coordinates a metabolic health program — onboarding, coaching, nutrition, movement, and long-term outcomes tracking. BridgeWell does not prescribe and does not provide medical advice. Medical intake, evaluation, prescribing, pharmacy fulfillment, and clinical follow-up are provided by our independent clinical partner, whose licensed clinicians are authorized to practice in your state.

Telehealth has limits

Telehealth visits and asynchronous messaging are convenient but cannot replace in-person care for every situation. Your clinical partner clinician may decline to continue treatment via telehealth and refer you to in-person care when, in their professional judgment, that is the safer path. You are responsible for seeking emergency care directly when one is needed — BridgeWell is not an emergency service.

If you are experiencing an emergency

Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Do not use the BridgeWell portal, refill request form, or messaging inbox to report a medical emergency. Messages and requests sent through the platform are reviewed during business hours and are not monitored continuously.

Suicidal ideation or mental-health crisis

Call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (United States), or contact your local crisis service. Mental-health emergencies are outside the scope of BridgeWell's metabolic health program.

Prescribing decisions

Your clinical partner clinician decides whether GLP-1 therapy is appropriate for you and selects the specific medication and dose. BridgeWell does not direct, override, or contribute to that prescribing decision. The clinical partner clinician may decline to prescribe at any point and may discontinue therapy if your health status changes. Specific medication options the partner offers (including any compounded formulations) are explained at the time of clinical review.

You must keep us informed

Your intake and ongoing check-ins are the basis for clinical decisions. You agree to provide accurate information and to promptly report side effects, new diagnoses, hospitalizations, pregnancies, and any new medications during your time on the program.

Data and privacy

The Privacy Policy governs how your health information is stored and shared. Information you provide is shared with our clinical partner and the pharmacies in their network coordinating your care; it is not sold.

Out-of-state and travel

Treatment is limited to states where the clinical partner clinician is licensed. Notify your care team before relocating or for extended travel — telehealth services may pause or transfer until you are seen by an in-state provider.

Acceptance

By completing the consent step of intake, you confirm that you have read this disclaimer, understand the limits of telehealth, and agree to the Terms of Service.
